Esports organisation Team Liquid has partnered with automobile giant Honda in a move to stay both literally and figuratively ahead in the esports industry. The information was revealed on the Team Liquid website where it was stated that Honda's belief in "The Power of Dreams" captured the spirit of ambition that was required to establish and expand the esports industry into what it is today.

The first adventure involved in the partnership will see the reigning LCS champions cruising around Santa Monica in an official custom Team Liquid Honda Odyssey, which will supposedly make the AlienWare Training Facility parking lot "look a lot livelier once the stallion is in the stable".

Steve Arhancet, Co-CEO and Co-owner of Team Liquid, said: "My first car was a green Honda Accord EX - I associate safety, reliability and style with the Honda brand to this day and am excited to stir those memories with an official Team Liquid partnership". Steve later went on to say, "we'll be working closely with Honda on content, activations and more that cater directly to our Team Liquid fan audience and feel honoured to work with a prestigious international brand who believe as fiercely as we do in the esports ecosystem."

The partnership will also involve the creation of a six-part video series that will highlight Team Liquid's League of Legends, Fortnite, and Dota 2 teams and how they plan to "level-up" in 2019. The series will be produced by 1UP Studios and will be split into three sections that follow each of the respective rosters, where the plan is to reveal the small advantages that combine to create a champion.
