Misfits Gaming Group, the overarching esports company that includes Misfits, the Florida Mutineers, and the Florida Mayhem, has announced that it has signed a new partnership deal with the blockchain Tezos.
Set to see Tezos tied to Misfits Gaming Group as its official blockchain partner, as the announcement post states, the deal will also see the pair working together on the launch on a new tool for game developers called Block Born, a tool that aims to grow the blockchain gaming space and support it through tournaments and content.
"Gaming can do a lot better, and blockchain technologies will help get us there," said Vas Roberts, EVP of partnerships at Misfits Gaming Group. "By building new practices upon a decentralized, indexed platform, we'll reimagine how we work with our community, peers, and partners. Tezos will help us share new levels of access, equity, and decision-making, and we're thrilled to pioneer how blockchain can help gaming organizations redefine how they operate."
It's also noted that Block Born tournaments will all be carbon neutral, and that Misfits will be renaming its gaming incubator to instead be known as the MSF Tezos Gaming Incubator.
