Die erste Januarwoche ist ziemlich unspektakulär und bestätigt die meisten Titel nur in ihrer Position aus der Vorwoche. Auf dem ersten Rang steht weiterhin das Online-Rollenspiel Star Wars: The Old Republic. Der Titel von Bioware dürfte damit ziemlich sicher die 200.000er Marke erreicht haben und zeigt wie beliebt das Genre und der PC in Deutschland sind. Froh sein dürfte man auch bei Ubisoft. Die Just Dance-Serie ist inzwischen auch hier ein großer Erfolg und führt die harte Konkurrenz mächtig vor. Erstaunlich aber auch hierzulande, dass diesen Genre fast ausschließlich auf der Wii zu Hause ist. Auf der ebenfalls starken Playstation 3 haben es weder Just Dance 3 noch Dancestar Party zu einen großen Hit gebracht.
Nintendo aber muss nicht neidisch auf Ubisoft sein, der Nintendo 3DS verkauft sich offenbar auch blendend und mit ihm Mario Kart 7 und Super Mario 3D Land. Diesen beiden Spiele werden uns wahrscheinlich noch sehr lange begleiten, dass lässt sich schon aus der Erfahrung mit dem Nintendo DS ablesen. Ansonsten ist das Programm recht bunt gemischt, schwach ist nur einmal wieder die Xbox 360, aber das ist kein ungewöhnliches Bild in Deutschland.
