Esports organisation Circa Esports has been around for quite some time now, but now CEO Mark Leikach has revealed that the organisation will close down later this year, as explained on a Twitter thread just recently, where he thanks the fans for their dedication, as well as the organisation itself.
"Today the owners of @CircaeSports had to make the hardest decision. I am sad to announce that after Evo we will be ending the operations of the organization. This decision was not the easiest since we all put our hearts into this for the past three years," he wrote. "I want to thank everyone for supporting us for the past three years. This truly would not have been possible without everyone's support. I would personally like to thank all the management, players, content creators and sponsors for putting the effort into building the brand with us."
The organisation has had a big presence in fighting games in the past, including Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, Tekken 7, and Street Fighter V, and is probably best known in the fighting game community (FGC), so no doubt Circa will be missed. Are you a fan of theirs?
