Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick recently spoke in an interview about the competitive scene around Overwatch and revealed that an Overwatch league is very much part of its plans.
"What we're doing is creating professional content," Kotick explained. "We're organising around teams and leagues. You will have the Overwatch League which will have a certain number of teams. Those teams will be a combination of professional sports teams as owners and endemic sports teams as owners."
It appears that the competitive side of Overwatch isn't going anywhere soon, then. Is an Overwatch League something you'd like to see?
