The Danish esports organisation, Astralis has announced that it has parted ways with a couple of members of its League of Legends team. Both Hampus 'promisq' Abrahamsson and Matti 'WhiteKnight' Sormunen have been released from the team, and are now able to explore new opportunities in competitive League of Legends.

Speaking about the release, Astralis has stated, "'WhiteKnight' and 'promisq' have been an important part of the first-ever Astralis roster in League of Legends and our League of Legends team for the past 1.5 years. We thank them for their contribution and dedication to Astralis and our League of Legends team. On the server, in the office, and as a part of the Astralis Family."

As for who will be stepping in to take over WhiteKnight and promisq's roles, Astralis has yet to make that announcement, but considering the team is dead last (at 3-15) in the LEC, Astralis will be hoping these changes give them a better fighting chance in the Summer Split when that rolls around.
