Role Lock might be coming to Overwatch League in Stage 4

It looks like Blizzard has had enough of GOATS as they look to implement a 2-2-2 lock going forward.

There has been a rumour circulating around the Overwatch League suggesting Blizzard is looking to install a 2-2-2 role lock for the competitive scene. It was first claimed by the Korean casters for the Overwatch League Twitch channel, Jung In-Ho and Jang "Akaros" Ji-Su, in a YouTube video leaking the proposed plans.

The video, titled as "pigeon-fficials", which is Korean Internet slang stating the information is not official but is from credible sources, reveals the developer's struggle with countering the GOATS composition (a team built around several tanks and support heroes, with basically no damage hero influence).

These rumours were just speculation, however, up until yesterday when Yiska, an Overwatch analyst turned writer, released an official tweet detailing the planned changes to be legitimate. The full article on Upcomer, produced by Sascha "Yiska" Heinisch, mentions the multiple occasions when the proposed changes were postponed and how they were discussed among teams participating in the Global League.

On top of this, it does also briefly state there has been no information suggesting whether the lock will be implemented into the title as a whole, although Blizzard usually keeps their pro-scenes and base games relatively similar in terms of patches and updates.

Do you think a 2-2-2 role lock would be healthy for Overwatch and its respective pro-scene?
