PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is growing more and more as an esport, with an Invitational coming up at the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice event this month, as well as an ongoing Global Loot League competition from G:loot, and now esports events organiser PGL has revealed its PUBG Spring Invitational for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, taking place between March 22 and 25 in Bucharest, Romania.

16 of the best teams from around the world will battle it out at the PGL Studios for their share of the $100,000 USD prize pool, and the event itself will be hosted alongside PGL's partner Imba TV. Of these 16 teams, 11 will receive automatic bids, while the remaining five teams will fight it out in online qualifiers (organised by the Global Loot League) in Europe, North America, and South America.

This event happens roughly a month before PGL is also due to host the finals of the Global Loot League, also in their studio in Bucharest, and more on this Invitational will be revealed soon.
