Saleem 'Salem' Young has taken home the trophy at Evo 2017's Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament, and this was no easy task, as it involved a thrilling comeback against world number one Gonzalo 'ZeRo' Barrios.
Salem came from the loser's bracket to the final, being dumped there by Larry 'Larry Lurr' Holland. All was even in the grand final going into the final game, but this didn't start well for Salem, who lost a stock early on. A great combo from Salem meant that he survived a beating to his second stock, though, and won the grand final.
As if that wasn't enough excitement, we now also know that the game will feature in the inaugural Evo Japan lineup as well. Can that action top Salem's tournament though?
