It will feature the biggest prize pool in its history.

HQ

It hasn't been long since FlipSid3 Tactics claimed victory in the second season of the Rocket League Championship Series, but Psyonix has now announced that the RLCS is back, and will be returning for a third season in March.

This season of the competition will introduce players from Oceania into the tournament, so they can face opposition from Europe and North America for the new prize pool of $300,000 US dollars, the biggest in the history of the game.

You can register to compete in open qualifiers here starting from February 9 (tomorrow), and once these qualifiers are over, eight teams from each regions will move on to League Play. More details for players in Oceania will be made available soon, as their timelines vary a little.

The first broadcast of the series will be on March 11, with the North American Open Qualifier finale at 12:00 PM PST (which will be 8:00 PM GMT) over on the Rocket League Twitch channel, and the action will continue in the European Open Qualifier finale the next day.

Psyonix also announced the launch of a new RLCS talk show to be held each week and will launch in March, with more details coming soon. Could this be the best year for Rocket League's esports scene?
