G2 Esports are one of the biggest organisations in competitive gaming, with highly successful teams and plays from League of Legends to Rocket League, from Super Smash Bros to HearthStone. They're constantly challenging for titles and since they're based in Spain, they've recently announced the addition of a second CS:GO squad featuring only Spanish players, called G2.Vodafone CS:GO, alongside a similar League squad.

Since partnering with G2 Esports in February 2016 and forming the aforementioned Spanish League squad, Vodafone Spain's journey through esports led to a TV show called 'Gamers' in April 2016 that followed the daily life of the G2.Vodafone players. The League squad compete in top tier Spanish league 'LVP' and the CS:GO team are looking to emulate their success.

"With our newest addition, we are bringing more force to our ambitious collaboration with Vodafone," said Carlos 'ocelote' Rodriguez Santiago, founder, owner, and CEO of G2 Esports. "We are committed to esports and are extremely glad to have such a strong partner sharing our passion and helping us to contribute to the growth and development of competitive gaming."

Cristina Barbosa, Director of Brand & Comms at Vodafone Spain, says: "We reaffirm our commitment to esports as a sports phenomenon and as entertainment for an entire generation. We want to continue creating valuable interaction and providing the best connectivity to the teams so they can continue to enjoy their passion and reach the best possible results."

The new G2.Vodafone CS:GO roster consists of:

Support/Entry: Alfredo 'Enanoks' Alvarez
Support: Marcos 'AEROZ' González
In-game Leader/AWP: Rajohn 'EasTor' Gumangan
All-rounder: Carlos 'Peelk' Barrio
